Did you know there are over 2,000 BILLIONAIRES in the world?  That number is shocking!  Especially when you consider how much a billion dollars is.  For a little comparison: 1 million seconds = 12 days 1 billion seconds = 31 years! Armed with this knowledge, Tulipina Design’s business model and social media presence (or lack thereof) makes a little more sense. Known for her extravagant, tailor-made and destination-friendly wedding florals, Kia Underwood has made a name for herself among the fashionable elite.  Think cigars and champagne, summer villas in the Mediterranean and fashion week in Paris, “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know” and you will soon summon her ideal customer. A private 2-day session would only cost me a couple months’ salary.  My family has a game we play at get-togethers: Who Wants to be a Big Shot?   We go around the table taking turns sharing comments like, “My husband had dinner with Chuck Norris” or “My son was the lead animator on Klaus.”  The goal is t

Marketing in the News: "The Loneliest Color"

As an artistic, maximalist-type homemaker, who LOVES color (I wanted a sunshine yellow bunk bed as a kid) and who may have a little stick-it-to-the-man streak running through her blood, I was so excited to hear about Sherwin-Williams’ new ad campaign for “The Loneliest Color.”   Disenchantment quickly ensued. Oh, I know it doesn't feel like that. You feel like a big fat failure now. But you're not. You are marching in
